Thank you for your interest in Compassion Fund.
Compassion Fund is a crisis response fund supporting needy students from low-income families facing a recent death, an illness or accident of a family member, resulting in loss of income. Timely assistance PREVENTS them from spiraling into poverty or developing other chronic family problems and hence impacting a child’s schooling. In addition to this crisis response fund, Compassion Fund also supports families with NTUC food vouchers and Student Assistance Fund (for students who have exhausted the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund), to provide relief for the entire family.
Ongoing counseling and appropriate referrals to external agencies are part of our core systemic help to ensure long term holistic support for our beneficiaries.
It is the intent of Compassion Fund to complement, and not replace, existing assistance schemes.
