Mission & Vision

Our Mission

Working through schools, we respond to vulnerable children whose families are in crisis due to the death, sudden major illness or accident of the breadwinner.

We provide financial assistance, counselling and holistic support, through the coordination of more long-term efforts with other agencies to help them back on their feet.

We also engage the student community in raising awareness and funds to help fellow students in need. We believe in “Students Helping Students”.

Our Vision

To support and uplift vulnerable children and their families in crisis. Rendering prompt assistance during their time of need, to help them avert family disintegration and a  decline into poverty.

Objectives

  • To give early and timely financial assistance to students whose families are in crisis so as to prevent the crisis from causing them to spiral into poverty or other chronic family problems.
  • To co-ordinate help efforts and support, helping students and their families ride over the crisis.
  • To empower school teachers, principals and counsellors to identify and help students facing family crises through access to a ready source of support
  • To inspire our children and youth to develop the habit of giving and sharing through the annual Share-A-Meal program and other initiatives.
